The founder finally speaks-up after he read a (almost “too long I won’t read”) article by Mr.A about his thoughts why our dear media project won’t hit mainstream. Yours truly believes on the same thing but I’ll be more direct to the point on this opinion post. No more words like “inexcusable” and comparing the Project to other groups having similar objectives. I won’t even try to criticise anyone in the group, for I know that criticising someone without understanding what is to be on his shoes doesn’t help in getting things right. One of Mr.A’s examples why the Project won’t hit mainstream is ghostlightning’s blog, We Remember Love.
Pardon for the “jologs” pic you see above. It’s been years and I can’t seem to find a decent enough picture of that said program. Anyhoo, now that you’re confused on the purpose of this post. Let me share a bit of a story, which if you known my works, I had written about this topic 3 years ago in my defunct Xagenda blog. So I figured talk about it again and see what kind of legacy this show did and how it shaped the Animation industry in bringing “anime” quality to the masses.

Hello Minna! Nah, what an awful way to start. Anyway, I come across draggle participating on a blog carnival and I figured: Hey, why not join in. I don’t have anything to talk about beside Anime. I still haven’t watch the second wave of Winter 2012. Might as well have it so that my Opinions category would contain something. So, I’ll be talking about Anime Ratings, and what makes a perfect Anime for me.
That’s life you know. But abundance from one doesn’t mean that you have abundance in everything. Inequality what makes people unique. If everybody is equal, then we won’t be needing professionals, and specialist in this world.
But what’s wrong is rubbing their shortcomings. You don’t know them and specially, you can’t tell when you’ll need them.

This internet tough-guy reminded me of Penguind Drum where Kanba is willing to sacrifice a lot of lives for saving one. It’s not like this is something new in society, and history has shown that wars are wage based on ideals of a single person, or a collective agreement of an Idea that came from a person. Who knows what this guy is intending, it can just be a mere spur-of-the-moment lash of idiocy that thinks of nothing but a blind attack on the critics of Pinoy Cosplay. But it somewhat amusing that how human behavior display such in this day and age.

Let me take this moment to write something that I had been keeping for sometime in the public’s eye. Since I don’t have any animes to watch, and my buddy won’t be calling me it seems, I’ll just use this time to write an opinion which I rarely do. Remember: the content you are about to read may come off as offensive, or can be taken with critical regard. It’s not my intention to degrade nor incur any sort of negative understandings. Just take it as my opinion on the matters. I don’t usually target a person’s traits, more on the arguments that I find worth commenting on.
?C?is pretty much heating up and is heading to a climax. Soichiro Mikuni still hellbent to preserve the present and Kimimaro finally has the balls to stop him, but in this awesome episode, one thing has definitely caught my eye…
I was very much intrigued by Q’s flation ability, Cannibalization, which allows her to eat assets, and even entres and possibly do one other thing which I’ll elaborate later. While this has been a beastly flation ability which has allowed Soichiro Mikuni reach the top of the Financial District, I think Q’s flation ability is something else, it is a reflection of what Socichiro Mikuni has been doing thus far.
Mikuni has been enacting his?C?plan in a bid to keep the present intact, with the consequence of taking many other people’s future for the sake of her sister, in other words Mikuni is ‘stealing’ the futures of many people in Japan to preserve his sister’s present.
My observation is that an entre only has one asset as a companion in the Financial district, so why does Mikuni has three? My theory is that Q’s flation ability, Cannibalization, other than eating assets, also allows her to steal them thus allowing Mikuni to have two more assets. Assets are the representations of the entre’s future, therefore, technically speaking, Mikuni has stolen the future of two entres. In the case of Mikuni’s battle vs. Jennifer Sato, Sato was able to send her asset to Kimimaro before Q was able to fully Cannibalize her asset.
[C]is nearing its climax and I’m liking every moment of this anime.

I never really fall into the Cosplay Goddess hype most cosplayer fans see. Maybe, because I’m not into cosplaying altogether. But what interest me in the culture, is the sheer fanatism of many with Alodia, as the most prominent cosplay figure in the country. Being dubbed being the Cosplay Goddess, the bringer for Cosplay, the Virgin Mary of Cosplay – I just made that up.
June 19 2011 is the second time, Alodia and I cross path. Not that I’m excited being near her, breathing a bit of the carbon dioxide that I exhale. Although, this is the first time I see the Cosplay figure up close, seeing the pride of the cosplay world. It made me realize two things about the famous cosplayer and her family: One, Alodia has such a small head; Two, Ashley looks more mature than Alodia. If my male hormones are to have a opinon, I prefer Ashley to have a starring role for Cosplay Nation; If looks are to be the only indicator of talent. Even then, I can’t vouch for the talent Alodia has as an actress. Most of the stories I got are from her famous critic known as Gamertotoy. The demon, the anti-christ of the cosplayers, the cancer that spreads ill news about the “bastardization” of the cosplay fandom. With his recent revelation of the alleged “cheating” encouragement this innocent maiden committed.
The sun isn’t the center of the solar system without its planets. Alodia being the center of the cosplay, she is nothing without her fans. Toy Con actually bears the great burden to bring the sun to its event halls. Logistic nightmare waiting to happen. The Fandom of Alodia ranges from normal admirer, to flat-out obsessed beasts. Secret organizations like the masons flock toward the center like moths attracted to a fire. I remember meeting this kid during the opening of the event. He’s probably around 16-18 judging by his looks and build. We were both waiting for the guest list to be printed so that we can come in. We got into a small talk about things, like the dere-moe website and his name for a historical manga of his. He mentioned in passing that he needs to interview Alodia with confidential intentions. It kinda puzzles me as to why it so. But I didn’t have any reason to push further on the topic so I let it go. But later, it wonders why it was so. Maybe it is because of the stigma people see for the dedicated fans of the cosplay superstar? Are they safeguarding themselves for the sake of not being features by gamertotoy? I can understand that. It is an interesting behavior to me, as to why so. But the truth behind it is simply left to ether. Maybe in time, it will come to us.
Aside from the crazed fans of the Cosplay superstar. I mention the logistical nightmare it brings to the organizers. But given how much people one superstar can pull. It’s an opportunity that can’t be missed. No wonder tickets need to be reprinted in the second day. The full cast of Cosplay Nation was there to film the Philippine arc. Alodia is in her dark-magician girl like outfit -as I watch in one youtube video. Also, during the hosting of the Cosplay event. It was quite a spectacle to see her surrounded with PSG-like security force, backed with the outer layer of event marshals to act as the front line defense. It got me an impression that we are looking at the presidential daughter for that kind of security. Maybe I haven’t seen any human stars lately to be surprised by the level of protection a star needed. But it was an interesting scene indeed.
So what did I experience being with Alodia in the same building? Well, I got to see her a lot. I’m not really into the cosplay celebrity thing; like how I don’t see any interest on Paquiao’s stardom. She has the looks for a star, doll-like to be exact. I see why fans – males for that matter – clamor for her attention. Does she have a “sex appeal”? I would probably need to study her a bit more to see. But ocular survey suggest she has. To conclude, being with Alodia in the same building is an interesting experience at the same time something that I would rather avoid the next time she’s in. I’m content on just hearing her antics on the spotlight.
Note: If you would let me take this opportunity to let me run a poll, an experiment for that matter seeing how the fans of Alodia react to see if the fandom surrounding the Cosplay superstar is comparable to the fandom of a Japanese Idol.

I just got back from a gruelling event that happened just a while ago. It was a complete war zone, where people are just inches away from exploding with devastating effects. Tensions, pressure, goals. Each person that enters the event hall has its own individual of three. I was there to cover the event; more on the Anime aspect than the western part. Many others go just to have good ol fun.
