To those of you haven’t watched Inu X Boku SS, here’s some lame effort from me to convince you on watching it, it’s one of the surprises and hidden treasures of this season. At first glance, you wouldn’t be sure if Inu x Boku SS really has the potential to be a great anime. The animation is honestly not convincing, but the audio is topnotch. Now if you wonder, what is the trick here in series that makes it good? Read on as I discuss why… SPOILER WARNING: Succeeding paragraphs may contain unintended or inexcusable spoilers. Another continues to blow my mind with it’s Horror-Mystery done right. It’s a nice proper mix of the genres, direction, and writing that gives a nice thrilling product. It’s also the most consistent of all the currently-airing series in terms of Audio-Visual presentation. Mouretsu Pirates is slowly losing it’s consistency — visual presentation-wise, that is. I’ve read the manga adaptation recently, and I can say the anime adaptation excellently adapts the main idea of the story. Oh man… I pity this series for it’s high ambitions, they’re still trying to reach it though. Mr.A warned me about continuing my quest for this during the Roundtable Otakus recording in the past few weeks, however some factors in Ano Natsu de Matteru and my tiredness with romance genre made me decide to put on-hold, so it gave me some time to rewatch this series and see for myself whether it’s because of apparent flaw(s) or it’s really bad. In my watch, it had been the former. I also see this as heavy “Your Mileage May Vary” series that’s only ‘very good’ at it’s best, and ‘mediocre’ at worst. It’s flawed yet I still don’t have the urges to drop this. Why? There are several things to speculate and do since it borrows some elements from several media, one can also spot several references to them.
Oh AnoNatsu, I thank thee. I thank thee for the most difficult and challenging Thought Digest article to write. I thank thee for making me go nuts. I thank thee for being inconsistently fluctuating from lame to just very good. I thank thee for giving me courage to (re)watch Guilty Crown and Starry Sky which entertained me more… I thank thee for decreasing my watchlist by one series… WAIT… WAIT… WAIT… Am I ranting again there? Please don’t mind my comments up there for I tend to commit some logical fallacies whenever I rant because of total and utter disappointment. Is it because I’m already full with romance anime? The latter case here is probably the reason why, and my decision to put this series on-hold is a logical one.
Even though the fourth episode would be aired this upcoming Tuesday, I would still be writing about my thoughts on Another‘s first three episodes. The recently-concluded third epside provoked me to planning for Thought Digests in three parts before I make a final review of this series. This article may not be fit to be under In-Review, though. The title says it all, it’s a shock-and-awe experience that’s very well suited for the Horror genre, and that’s one of the reasons why I love this show. It’s currently competing with Mouretsu Pirates for the top spot on my list. SPOILER WARNING: The succeeding paragraphs may contain unintended or inexcusable spoilers
Yesterday, I already post my reviews about Kaichou wa, Maid Sama I just noticed something… My wrong title for my entry that was supposed to be “Falling or Failing in LOVE?” which is my fault.
Well, I apologize for that. Anyway, this is my next review for the shojo category.
Hi there, dear readers! It’s been a long, long time since I posted about Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, since last year was a year filled with problems and troubles for me. Well, I’m back so let’s get to back to business shall we? Kaichou Wa Maid Sama! (shojo category) which means “The Class President is a Maid!” where the story goes to the masochistic heroine Misaki Ayuzawa, the strict school president to their school who has part time job as maid in Maid Latte. Usui Takumi is the famous guy on the school, finds out the “secret” of Misaki and then the story goes along. Later on, Usui-kun fell in love with Misa-chan as he always make the first move, or harassment, on her. Here’s the evidence.
For a guy who fell in love to a girl who’s way too masochist and numb for herself, I admit that don’t try too much “harassment moves” to a girl or else you might end to jail. In real life, it also happens especially to teenagers. Misa-chan always calls Usui-kun an “alien pervert”. Like for my example here.
It is so sad that Animax Asia would not show the season 2 of Maid Sama just letting their viewers waiting for nothing. I hope they would show us the season 2. Could this crazy couple last forever? Well, let’s all find out!!
Mixing mystery and paranormal is like mixing oil and water. Mystery relies on the on-set of systematic delivery of plot-points that eventually builds the tension and the answer all together, which makes the entire impact more effective; but in cases where paranormal comes into play. The logic gets thrown out of the picture, making short cuts to what used as a systematic approach. Defeating the effectiveness and impact of the of the mystery presented. Un-Go is an anomaly to the latter, which brining paranormal and mystery, make it blend into a system that one compliments the other.
