The previous arch did foresee the impending separation of our two lovebirds. This has been a running impediment since Victorique is being dragged around Saubre to solve cold cases, which the Coco Roso case that was a product of multi-layer deception only to realize that the king is behind the murder of their beloved Queen. Crime of passion goes deep, even royals can get itself involve in such controversial mix of emotions. Read the rest of this entry
Wow. Kujo does have some brains. I really like how the musical score in this series ups the mood, in ways that it makes the mystery, the scenario and the character development as if it were something of a climactic moment. If the Blu-ray comes out, it would had the best advantage of that multi-surround sound you might had. Or simply bring the most gothic eargasmic experience yet. This episode is simply a continuation to the grand mystery of the series. A likely end to our ordeal of half bad-ass series.
We got another amazing episode of Gosick. I was worried with all that happy music playing in the episode preview last time. I was thinking that we’ll be back to the “mediocre” side of this story. Well, I’m happy that they ran out of excuses to put up with it. I frown on how Victorica was a victim of a rape, by some mad man who can’t seem to get over with the fact that magic is fake. Or was it really his front. But anyway, we’re starting with another “big” mystery here. I was under the impression that this will be the grandest of yet, and perhaps this will span until the end of the series. But anyway … Read the rest of this entry
We got another wonderful episode of Gosick here. The epic momentum it carried over the last one, carried over with a short mystery concluding the mystery of the Memento box that both sides wanted so dearly. We also get another subtle fanservice with Victorique on a Maid outfit, that makes up for those Type B fans as Anime fandom labels.
“Amazing.” That’s how I can summarise this entire episode of Gosick. Everything is done in grandeur, worthy of all that what was laid before us. We get to see a serious side of Gosick outside the realms of your typical mystery. We’re being brought to an epic battle that her father, Brian Roscoe and Cordellia been fighting for years. Kujo on the other hand became a shining character on this episode, being a very reliable sidekick of Victorique and the knight of shining Armor. Amazing, just simply Amazing.

This episode of Gosick is brought to you by crazy-eyed nuns. Bringing the religion to unspeakable proportions…Well, at least Gosick isn’t dumping us with another uninteresting mystery. We also get to go our Saubre and to some country down south for some experiment with that pointy haired parent. Kujo isn’t being a retard as he is today. Too bad, I won’t be able to see his uniform for some time.

No it’s not Anton who’s doing the Gosick Episode blog, it will be me for now, yours truly. Gosick isn’t really that anime that you’ll see something that at least have a caliber compared to Star Driver, which was FABUOLOS and has loads of meterosexual bishounen, like me -HAHA! But what keeps me watching it, beside that I had started, is belive me or not, is the uniforms of the Sauville Academy, more on Kujo’s. Also, Victorique and Kujo’s chemistry to each other.
So far in its run. 70% of the story is crap. Mostly due to Kujo being stupid, even in the most easiest mysteries presented. Saving grace is, of course, Victorique and Kujo’s interactions with each other. But for the 30%, it was the best, well thought mysteries, particularly when it involves either, reality events, or Victorique. Episode 15, or rather, the Leviathan arc just shows us, that at least, Gosick has its moments. And it was hell of a ride.
Maybe because I’m a fan of Metal Gear, that I always find fascination when fiction taps to reality to tie its story from. The story of the lost gold, and Alchemy, being that Sauvillee seems to see paranormal as a national interest. Goes hand in hand, with the involvement in the last great war, and the colonial expansion to the west. If we remember, in the Gray Wolf arc. The chief, also mentions something hinted as, Victorique is the key for Sauville’s position in the inevitable second world war, only a decade to go. Since Saubre is a fictional country, its stance in the war is unknown. Saubre took part in the first world war, in determining the victory with that Ghost ship arc, remembering it now, I think they remained a neutral country.
Outside the scope of the relationship of the fiction to non-fiction. Character perspective, Kujo is pretty much more reliable like during the ghost ship arc. Yes. He’s been beaten a bit. But at least that’s one hell of a manly stance for Kujo. I only like him when he’s wearing his uniform, and not shouting VICTORICA!!! like some kid who cries for his lost candy. I just hope he stays like this. But of course, he won’t.
Well, since we just had a great arc. Like a constipated man who just finished its bowel movement. We might have to sit to another boring arc, or perhaps something mundane like the rest of the series does. Maybe, if they just focused on the serious part of the story, maybe 12 episodes is all it needs. And it may perhaps win our attention. So overall, Good arc Gosick.
Fractale mellowed a bit in this episode, less depth in this episode BUT there’s still the depth that makes this series challenging to write about. Oh well, I didn’t expect things like revealing Clain’s underwear and resolving the little ‘feud’ between Phryne and Nessa to be here. Though, I kind of expected the Nessa screwing up the Granitz’ airship.

Due to the tough schedule of mine, I’ll be dropping episode blogs for Infinite Stratos and StarrySky. These two shows do not motivate me enough to write about them. I almost feel like taking back what I said about IS being a keeper but that statement came from my impression of episode 2. Episode 3-6 felt like fillers, how demotivating. Same applies for StarrySky. It became repetitive that it’s demotivating. I won’t be dropping them off my watch list, though.
When I get the time, I’ll still try to review these said titles. Who knows? The guys might have something in their sleeves…
Another bloody genius courtesy of Gosick, friends. My guess on the killer’s identity was correct but I wasn’t able to guess what the trio is really after. Oh well, there were unexpected bits here and the episode’s story was simply excellent!
