That’s it for the Hunter exam. What can I say, it’s a roller-coaster ride of dull and interesting things all together. Sadly, the new series seem to skip on putting importance on the last phase of the exam. There’s rarely any fighting in it. But I doubt they will skip on the tournament part later in the series. But first, we get to have a little detour in the way.
I wasn’t able to write anything about last week. It’s not like it’s bad, I just happen to have no time doing it or in other words: I’m Lazy. This week is the continuation of an intense battle between team mates in achieving their dreams.
And in a delightful display of child abuse, Hunter x Hunter just showed how old works are made classics. If you hadn’t felt the frustration of everyone being driven to the point of fury, then it means that you don’t have a soul! You can’t see this violence that is meaningful, which isn’t just about making you cringe in the utter gore it brings.
It has been a slow week in Anime lately and I am also feeling a bit under the weather. I finally got to play Suikoden and has posted the first part of my retro-gaming. I’ll follow this up within the few days. In terms of the series above, little has change in last phase of the 3rd exam between the old and the new.
Ain’t Gon cute? Seeing the latest chapter of Hunter X Hunter, who wouldn’t want to see this face again in the manga. I like this episode, even if it’s a bit slow. That hesitation on his answer if he got his tag should be a give away that he didn’t have them. Kurapika and Lerio knew that something’s up, but chose not to meddle further. I like how things just turn without saying anything, and if those body language get to you, then you are paying attention and certainly you like this series.
Oh that’s cute deskmoto-kun. BUT WHY ARE WE ON RECAP EPISODE! There’s nothing to talk about, beside how bad Chihayafuru sucks at making jokes. Besides, I just want to write this so that my dear readers who haven’t watched or had tuning in won’t have to ask why I skipped this episode. But still, I’m going to rank it.
If there is one thing that is unique about the new hunter is how Hisoka is portrayed. Just look at how creepy he is. He’s just more than a wildcard in this game. But he’s turning into this paedophile with a range of tastes.
Having Chihaya won the match against the Queen would just end the entire series right there. But I find it satisfactory that the match ended with a loss. It’s just too shoneny if Chihaya won out of friendship and determination alone, which doesn’t bode well to a serious game as Karuta. However, it did melt some of that smirk the queen had when Chihaya got in the momentum. Sadly, it’s too late.
I get to read a lot of comparisons over the old Hunter vs the New one. How one is better than the other. But it always get to me that people compare it far more than actually looking at the actual episode. One known blogger seem to get stuck in that tangent, and I often find it irritating to read. So since I’m writing few episodes this season and one last season, starting next week onwards I’ll be doing episode blogging of Hunter X Hunter.
