Kokoro Connect 13 – As long as the five of us are together

By on Sat, 13th Oct 2012

Yes, this Kokoro Connect episode is the ‘finale’; something that I can’t call as such with the fact that it isn’t like such and that there would be four more episodes — those’d just be released in the home media releases. You read that correctly, there are seventeen episodes of this series with only thirteen episodes aired on Japanese telly. Reminds me of a certain excellent romantic drama from the Summer season that would have an unaired episode or OVA to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD media. Anyway, this episode feels rushed no matter if you see it as the finale, or just a thirteenth episode begging to be continued.

With Inaban’s ‘discovery’ of the fishiness about Taichi the only one not experiencing the phenomenon, the second heartseed made sure of the continuation of the phenomenon, and it is now affecting Taichi. Then it rolls off into a predictable manner. This episode, thankfully, has some depth in the presence of more narration about Iori’s past and the partial resolution of her issues. Other than that, this episode was pretty much expected and predictable. It’s definitely a nice way to end the show’s airing on the telly
