So Hyouka is now gunning for detective mysteries by investigating a so-called crime film? I’m quite surprised. One person out there may be either laughing his arse out shouting “I told you so!” or have his jaw dropped by the latest developments. More slice-of-life elements are thrown in to us in these two recent episodes. And according to some of my sources, we’re already on the second book. Do this mean we’ll get only a handful of mini mysteries?
It’s another x-episode arc for Hyouka. It’s a good thing they’re going in for the old-school narration style. There are tons of mystery references in the film that their upperclassmen asked Houtarou and the gang to see. Also, I find great improvements in Kyoto Animation’s visuals with this series. Those fanboys may be partly correct in overly-hyping about it, then.
