Ginga e Kickoff 9: Breakthrough

Oh that is cute.

Ahem. After the big clue last episode, the team manages to get itself together and Win the match. The coach did manage to round-up the triplets and beat them to their game. Realizing that acting as a whole unit makes for what they’re all good at and not just what that bearded guy with a hat says “Dango So- Football”.

I am a bit stuck on what to say here. Pretty much what is wrong with the previous episode – not pointing to the Animation quality – is presented with a solution here. We all know that the triplets trust Sho in putting a good play. Reika-chan is determined to beat herself into being an asset to the team. While coach is looking for ways to make everything about the team to be the best in the galaxy.

Which reminded me. It does leave a lot to the other characters in the show, mainly Erika-chan. What do we know about her, beside loving Ronaldo who ever he is. Sorry, I’m no football fan so I can’t comment on the sports part. But I do see a lot of meme with Torres managing to shot a goal. But that’s  just clueless me writing about a football anime that I have no knowledge off. But regardless, my point here is that so far the most fleshed out characters in the show are the triplets, Sho and the coach. It’s not that bad per se. I just feel like that show has more in store with the other characters. Plus we don’t have the brazilian kid and that lovable blond kid, I think.

Another thing. It seems that the teams aren’t school based. Are these district based? From the looks of it, it somewhat reminded me of Giant Killing. It sort of runs as a ground of professional players to be sponsored and forwarded to their career. But in this case, it’s like a little league of sorts.
