I’ve lauded the main series as one of the most progressively great anime to hit the contemporary times. It had every card on its hands and played them superbly, now would that apply to the OVA that’s contained in a limited edition publication of the manga? Yes it is! However, this one wouldn’t have the same strong impact on the series as a whole.
The visuals, audio, and writing for this OVA remains the same. The only difference is the story being narrated, and the time. This time, it’s mostly about Misaki Mei and her twin. We also get to see Misaki’s emotionally-expressive side, and how she got frustrated with herself. How the twins got separated from each other, and how they found out that they’re twins are explained or hinted here, too. Also, we get treated to some yuri teasing between the twins. Finally, the narration also allows the viewer to connect the events of the OVA to the main series. The direction did not fail to be seamless after all.
Final Rating: 90/100
