Wow! That was another fun episode, however Chiaki Mouretsu Hanazawa Pirates really needs to up its antics more especially with the deluge of Spring 2012 anime, although it still has some powerful cards on its hands. One of them would be the character interactions. The director decided to forgo the romance in favour of an approach for the audience to explore the friendship of the characters. It’s starting to pay-off now as the narration continues to unravel the immersing story.

Upon discussing about the Bentenmaru‘s jobs, Marika was given a green light to go back to her school to continue studying. As Misa checked the cargo, she found the found the cat monkeys escaping from their cages. This causes the entire crew to contract a virus and have to be isolated for at least a week. When Marika was contacted about the situation, Misa suggested that she contact their client about the situation and renegotiate on the jobs.

On her meeting with the agent, Marika was given three options to avoid the revocation of the pirating license; First is to pray for the crew’s very swift recovery, second would be to ‘rescue’ them from the hospital isolation, and third would be to recruit a temporary crew. Marika decides to recruit a temporary crew for her additional job. Unfortunately for her, her fame causes unwanted public attention as she went to the relay station for possible recruitment opportunities. Gruier tried to help her disguise but it didn’t work.

As they unwind in a pub, some men ‘volunteered’ to become the crew and gave some little advice. Some instinct of Marika blown up the cover made by Kenjo Kurihara. They told everyone in the area to reject any offer from Marika for them to have enough time to give them a hand on how to gather-up a temporary crew. This lead Marika’s thought in deciding to ask for help from the yacht club as the members are the ones whom she can trust.

Finally! The mystery behind Chiaki (and the Barbarossa)’s involvement is ultimately solved! They’re real allies with the Bentenmaru. The next episode looks like a hilarious one with the club members exploring and understanding the Bentenmaru and Chiaki-chan would be with them again.
