Falling or Failing in LOVE? Review Tora Dora
By Guest on Tue, 10th Jan 2012
Yesterday, I already post my reviews about Kaichou wa, Maid Sama I just noticed something… My wrong title for my entry that was supposed to be “Falling or Failing in LOVE?” which is my fault.
Well, I apologize for that. Anyway, this is my next review for the shojo category.
Tora Dora means “tora which is a tiger while dora means dragon”. It is the story of the two protagonists characters here; Aisaka Taiga and Ryouji Takasu with their friends, Yuusaku Kitamura (student council president and Ryouji’s bestfriend ), Minori Kushieda (Taiga’s bestfriend) and Ami Kawashima (a part-time model who had been seducing Ryouji and hates Taiga) who’s been going at the same High School. Taiga-chan and Ryouji-kun are both misunderstood by their classmates because of Ryouji-kun eyes which are cold and aggressive and Taiga-chan’s attitude and nicknamed “The Palmtop Tiger” because of her height. Both of them, have crushes on their bestfriends; Taiga-chan’s crush is Kitamura-kun and Ryouji-kun’s crush is Minori-chan and since they both discovered their crushes to their each other’s bestfriends, they form an alliance just to help each other and the story goes along. Just like what I’ve post yesterday, it is the crazy couple that I’ve ever been seen. http://iconogate.blogspot.com/2011/07/anime-review-toradora.html
Ami-chan also joins into the stir of the story as she tries to seduced or tries to catch Ryouji-kun’s attention and aggressively argumenting most of the time (or fighting probably) with Taiga-chan. I must say that Ami-chan easily craves for attention which is probably in REAL life guys totally hated that kind of a girl like her. >.<
Ryouji-kun lives along with his mother in an apartment while Taiga-chan is living in an apartment, all alone and usually hangs out with Ryouji-kun’s apartment because of the delicious foods that Ryouji-kun serves. (Ryouji have a talent when it comes to baking and cooking while Taiga doesn’t have any potential) This is actually sweet, when a guy have a talent for cooking and baking.
As the story goes along, Ryouji-kun and Taiga-chan is falling in love to each other. In one episode on the series, the couple has been practicing their kiss.
In the end, they want to marry each other. Nah, isn’t that sweet? I hope they don’t get a divorce.
Well in TV5, the series was shown in 21 episodes only but the series has 25 episodes. I don’t know why ALL of the TV channels have postponed or just pulled out their anime shows. The audience deserves better than this.
My verdict? Falling or Failing in LOVE? The couple is falling in LOVE.
