Filling in the blank spaces of this blog and to deviate a bit away from the anime, I figured doing a retro-gaming segment would spice our readers a bit. Specially to those who had played these kinds of games. For the first segment, I’ll be playing the first Suikoden series. Not the best by and means, but its second to none if you want to have the best Suikoden experience. So sit back, relax and enjoy as I walk you through my game play.

I finally got to finish a route in this damn game! It only took me hours of attention, weeks of neglect. Visual Novels aren’t my speciality, specially if it lacks any shota or yaoi content in it. At least I got bespectacled Kenji here in a naked illustration which also give me this raging question: Shouldn’t that cover in his nether region be a four-leaf instead of three?

I took a sneak peek of the Manga to see how things turned out, which isn’t much given that it only has a few chapters available. But I can say that this one is steering into its own direction, which isn’t bad given its direction. Although by praise, I can’t help but get annoyed by this toddler which makes me want to throw her out. Ok I’m a soulless bastard.
The founder finally speaks-up after he read a (almost “too long I won’t read”) article by Mr.A about his thoughts why our dear media project won’t hit mainstream. Yours truly believes on the same thing but I’ll be more direct to the point on this opinion post. No more words like “inexcusable” and comparing the Project to other groups having similar objectives. I won’t even try to criticise anyone in the group, for I know that criticising someone without understanding what is to be on his shoes doesn’t help in getting things right. One of Mr.A’s examples why the Project won’t hit mainstream is ghostlightning’s blog, We Remember Love.
If we are going for the one-shot stories, then anything that involves Natsume’s past is very much welcome. Even if it’s becoming repetitive, his past is a good way to get further closer to him. Comparing the past vs the present is one thing to gauge how far the character’s have gone, and how things were used to. Here they took the similar formula but tweak it to be more in a bitter-sweet end. I like the scene above since I sort of felt what she felt being the only person who see’s him beyond the weird. She would had been a nice girlfriend.
Ain’t Gon cute? Seeing the latest chapter of Hunter X Hunter, who wouldn’t want to see this face again in the manga. I like this episode, even if it’s a bit slow. That hesitation on his answer if he got his tag should be a give away that he didn’t have them. Kurapika and Lerio knew that something’s up, but chose not to meddle further. I like how things just turn without saying anything, and if those body language get to you, then you are paying attention and certainly you like this series.
With all of the panicky tweets and a blog post I made yesterday, the fourth episode still got a release. Thank God for that! This episode still has the same overall pacing of the earlier episodes. Frankly, the relaxed pacing of this series makes it a bit harder for me to narrate or summarise, however, I’ll take this as a challenge in my narration skills. There’s almost no difference from the overall impressions of the earlier episodes but episode 4 really, really feels like a huge chunk of a filler with some relevant plot in the end. Am I the only one getting this feeling?
Even though the fourth episode would be aired this upcoming Tuesday, I would still be writing about my thoughts on Another‘s first three episodes. The recently-concluded third epside provoked me to planning for Thought Digests in three parts before I make a final review of this series. This article may not be fit to be under In-Review, though. The title says it all, it’s a shock-and-awe experience that’s very well suited for the Horror genre, and that’s one of the reasons why I love this show. It’s currently competing with Mouretsu Pirates for the top spot on my list. SPOILER WARNING: The succeeding paragraphs may contain unintended or inexcusable spoilers
We would had wasted our time if Kakeru refuses to play even after knowing his heart story. It seems that this episode came forced on the drama and left a lot of moments in the Manga that would had worked better in its favour. Interestingly enough, they’re playing the Cellular Memory theory here, which prompted me to research more on it.
